Bound Composite Book

Mainly comprising essays and pamphlets by or about Drs. John and Samuel Bard

This collection of pamphlets was most likely bound by William Bard, son of Dr. Samuel Bard, and father to John Bard, founder of St. Stephen’s (now Bard) College. The bookplate in this volume indicates that it was given to St. Stephen’s College by John and Margaret Bard in memory of their son William (Willie), who died in 1868 at the age of 11.
